Crystal Lake Front

When a pipe burst in this grand 1895 Colonial Revival home – which was originally built by the inventor of the fire alarm system, Moses Crane.  The young fun family that had been living there decided to take their kitchen to the studs. We designed this room in a way that recreated its historic grandeur and added a worldly twist with tile and kitchen taps from England, accessories from Turkey, and antique Afghan rugs from their collection.

We also renovated a 1980s primary bathroom into a serene, classic retreat, anchored by the brass-clad tub. We furnished the rest of the main floor rooms with a mix of vintage, antique and modern pieces in rich colors and patterns, from a Bavarian hunting lodge chandelier dripping in antique crystals to reupholstered mid-century lounge chairs with sexy lines. One of a kind art and attention to the lighting, along with some cheeky wallpaper and a mix of global treasures, make this home as unique and special as its history.
