We Design Beach & Vacation Homes! Newly Completed Home in Naples, FL
Newly completed beach house design project in Naples, FL!
Bright, bold, and beautiful was the name of the game for this beach and vacation home. Previous clients from our Gentleman in Brookline project, hired us to redesign their new beach house in Florida. Tasked with creating a vibrant and elevated space without the nautical theme that can often be found in vacation homes, we drew inspiration from the beautiful tropical scenery to create our color palette, no dried starfish needed.
We dreamed of the bright sunshine when choosing tropical, floral, and colorful fabrics throughout the house, and began with Schumacher Citrus Garden sofa fabric in the living room. We incorporated a mix of modern and vintage light fixtures and unique art pieces from Jules Place to complete this fun, comfortable and breezy house.
We are so thrilled with how this project turned out, and so are our clients! View the completed project below and learn more about all the design details.
The kitchen area has very high ceilings and we knew we couldn’t miss the opportunity to install a grand light fixture, the client’s loved their kitchen pendants so much from their Brookline home and we sourced the same one in a different color from LZF to be used above the island.
When choosing fabrics for furniture and window treatments we decided to be bold with our selection. We wanted the fabrics to elicit the feeling of a true tropical vacation home with vibrant colors and sunshine, our first fabric choice was for the living room sofa. We found this gorgeous Citrus Garden print from Schumacher that kick started this whole room!
We continued this trend throughout the house, and particularly in the bedrooms where you can see more tropical patterns and colors that just make you want to smile.
When designing the dining area we opted for a custom dining room table from Dunes and Duchess. We loved the idea of using a warm wood tone for the dining room table to compliment the exposed wood that you see when looking out at the veranda.
Ensuring that not every piece in the remodel is new helps add personality, history, and comfort to a vacation home. We incorporated many of our client’s vintage and heirloom pieces, and filled in where necessary with art from our favorite Jules Place.
We also found a wonderful new addition to our beach home furniture vendor, the Mainly Baskets Home where we found this unique scalloped console table that’s making just the right kind of statement. Another gorgeous statement find was this vibrant chair from Anthropologie, it incorporated all the colors we were looking for and is perfect for a bedroom nook.
We also updated the laundry room and the outdoor area. We wanted every part of this house to be consistent with our theme, bright Florida sunshine, and took this into account in every corner. From laundry room wallpaper to outdoor perennials, and durable Sunbrella fabric that is outdoor friendly - this home is a true tropical oasis!
