I am beyond thrilled to share this pinch-me moment!
Casagrande Studio is featured on the cover of House Beautiful Summer 2024 issue, as the gold standard of Incredible Kitchens!
We started this project when the homeowners wanted help to overhaul five bathrooms in their 1919 Brookline, MA home. As we got to know the family we learned of their love of playing fantasy board games together, specifically Dungeons & Dragons, as well as their naturally curious and imaginative personalities.
With this knowledge, we began working on the rest of the house designing each room to have its own unique magical story to tell. From cicada print wallpaper, to fantastical bathrooms with sea urchins and monkeys, and kitchens that are “basically an ice cream sundae”, every inch of this house was thoughtfully curated for homeowners who value creativity and color.
In House Beautiful’s eight page story on this magnificent and mischievous home, Carisha Swanson writes, “A self-proclaimed maximalist, she (Cecilia) asks herself regularly, Will adding one more pattern or color bring me to the circus? - and if the answer is no, she moves forward, full steam ahead.”
Casagrande Studio designed this home in such a way that each room has its own unique story to tell. “There is just one beautiful, elegant room that flows into the next so nicely you feel like you’re in a new place and never get bored,” Cecilia Casagrande shares.
Self proclaimed as one of the “calmest” rooms, is the kitchen. We wanted the kitchen to feel the most lived-in, to be a warm and inviting space where the family can gather. Using crackled tile up to the ceiling, chocolate brown window trims, whimsical upholstery and custom cabinetry to maximize storage in this long space. With unique and individualized pendants, this kitchen couldn’t be more stunning!
